Those details would see the birth of children, the passage of time and the evolution of families. We want to revive those gloried days of housing design and create masterpieces for your family. Masterpieces that will stand the test of time and define the generation of which they were born. No, our work here at Mandalay Design isn't just to put lines on paper to create a blueprint. Our hope is for dreams to be laid down on paper, creating the perfect home for each and every one of our clients.

why we do it

Our goal is to bring a fresh feel to a beloved architectural style; to embrace a classic and weathered idea and carry it into the modern world. We want our houses to cradle comfort, luxury and style and still stand toe to toe with the timelessly beautiful century-old homes that inspired them.

Of course, we know that not everyone can allow themselves the luxury of expert craftsmanship and exotic materials throughout their homes. But for those unwilling to compromise on style, we will promise to work within whatever economic limits our clients request. We can do this because of our first-hand knowledge of the construction business. In addition to designing house plans, our firm has been in the construction process of custom and "spec" homes for nearly two decades. We know the ins and outs of the trade, and can tailor fit spectacular custom designs on a budget. We've worked with numerous styles, ranging from our favored French Acadian to Mediterranean, Craftsman and Colonial Revival. We've created cozy Garden Homes that ooze of character and craft as well as grand Estates overflowing of beauty and attention to detail. Our promise is simple- if you have a vision, we will bring it to life.

what we do

We create. It's that simple. If you have a home or office you want designed, we can do it. We've designed both single and multi-family residences, along with guest houses and mother-in-law cabins. Looking to add or improve upon a pool? We will work with you to design a pool house or cabana, or even a pigeonniere-styled detached pool bath, to create the perfect backyard paradise. We've worked with doctors to create dental, optometry and general practice offices. We've worked with businesses to created retail spaces, sales offices, equipment rental warehouses and corporate headquarters. From beach houses in the Bahamas to hunting cabins in lower Appalachia, and from fishing camps deep in the heart of Sportsman's Paradise to your back yard- if you can dream it, we can design it.
